Finding Relief from Sciatica Pain

Sciatica pain can be debilitating. While it’s common, that’s no reason you should have to live with it. Relief is possible with the proper care.

Our Team
  • Audrey - Massage Therapist

I am a native to Chicago's Western Suburbs and the middle of three children. I grew up in a very close family and am now a proud Auntie of a niece and nephew. I have always loved learning either though reading on my own or being taught in school. Massage therapy has always been part of my life from personally receiving sports massage but it was not until 2008 that I started to pursue a career in massage therapy.

After receiving a well-rounded education from Cortiva Institute Chicago, I graduated with my Massage License in 2009. My love of sports has led me to volunteer at the Chicago Marathon every year since 2008. I have taken continuing education in Functional Movement Training, myofascial release, and lymphatic drainage to name a few, but I have a specific concentration in sports and clinical massage.

In 2013 I wanted to gain a better understanding of human movement, so I decided to attend the National Personal Training Institute and graduated with a Certification in Personal Training. My love for learning has not stopped there; in 2016 I graduated with a Bachelor's in Health Promotion from Southern New Hampshire University. The reason why I love to learn is to educate people about how massage helps not only in physical health but also in every aspect of their health.

After graduation I have been able to spend more time reading, listening to all types of music (including country), spending quality time with my family, start training for my next race and I am looking forward to what surprises the future has in store!

  • Jose - Massage Therapist

Graduating from SOMA Institute, a prestigious school for Clinical Massage Therapy, Graduates have the passion and skills to care for patients with any type of injury.  After a year of intense courses and clinical training, L.M.T. Jose Avila, earned his license as a Clinical Massage Therapist. Coming from working long hours at restaurants, hotels, and factories, Jose couldn’t abide the pains it would cause him.  He then decided to make a change and set a goal to permanently remove annoying pains.  Becoming a clinical massage therapist was his way of helping others to overcome their pain and injuries to continue a healthy lifestyle.

Every year for the past three years, Jose has done volunteer work for the Chicago Bank of America Marathon assisting the runners to relax and feel comfortable after the race.  After finishing his internship at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Jose was able to apply his skills and knowledge to work by providing different types of massages such as; Deep Tissue Massage, Sport Massage, Swedish Massage, and Injury Recovery. You can see that L.M.T. Jose Avila has the skills and passion for patient care recovery and wellness.

L.M.T, Jose Avila, is the older of two brothers and has lived in California, Las Vegas and Chicago.  He knew his role as an older brother was to set a good example by guiding them to the correct path to a successful life.  In his high school years, Jose was involved in school activities and sports.  He was in the high school football team, wrestling team and did heavy lifting.  He also practiced MMA on the side.  Jose now enjoys spending time with his girlfriend whom he met through his cousin and loves bonding with his family.

  • Ruth

Being blessed into a beautiful family of 6; mother, father, 3 girls, and 1 boy. Born in Chicago and raised most of my life in the Northwestern Suburbs of Chicago, youngest of 4 I became a very family oriented person. I love spending quality time with my parents, siblings, and my nieces and nephews. Together we’ve traveled to Iowa, Michigan and Wisconsin and plan to travel to other places across the country. Growing up in a Hispanic home, I had the opportunity to learn and speak both English and Spanish which were and is of great asset to my future.

While attending to Proviso West High School, I decided to join the NJROTC Program. Being a part of that taught me a lot of self-discipline, time management, & how to be a great team player amongst many other things. During and after high school, I was able to work in some retail and customer service jobs. While working in those fields, I was able to learn how to communicate and work with different types of people according to their necessities. Right there and then I knew I was going to love any type of job that had to do with helping people and being hands on. On my spare time I spend time with family, and love being active; playing sports such as volleyball, tennis, or soccer. I also enjoy working-out whether it’s in the gym, at home, or just go out for afternoon runs. I love nature and love going on hiking adventures when and if it’s possible.

When I joined LiveWell Chiropractic, I had little understanding of what was a chiropractors’ job and duties. As I got to work with them and see the things they can do to help people live a healthy life, I was thrilled to work with them and be a part of such a great team who cares about a person’s wellbeing. I’ve heard of so many successful cases and I can honestly say LiveWell Chiropractic is a great place to work and an amazing place to get treated.

  • Sharon - Practice Representative

I was born and raised in Lombard by my Mother, alongside my brother and sister. My Mom instilled in me to put in 100% into EVERYTHING that I do. With her help and direction, I joined the working world at age 15. It has always been fulfilling to know that I am part of something important. Something that helps me learn and grow constantly.

I also give 100% into my sports. I learned how to wakeboard and snowboard 7 years ago. I love driving the boat for our water sports... and pretty much anything with an engine. Two years ago, I upped the challenge and started taking pilot lessons.

I was married 3 years ago to my wonderful husband, Tommy. We have two animal children. One is a rescued 26-year-old Eclectus Parrot named Rhett. He plucked all of his tummy feathers due to stress. Because I love challenges, my husband and I decided to adopt him and help him recover. He has become a happy little ham now, and loves posing for pictures, loves giving kisses, and loves talking... ALL THE TIME. We also have a baby chinchilla named Riley. She was hand raised and is the sweetest, most cuddly ball of fur. Together, they complete our little family.

My faith is so very important to me. It drives me to maintain Bible principals in all that I do. Joy, Respect, Love for God and neighbor; This is a major reason why I love my job. I am able to help others feel better NATURALLY. It brings me joy to watch people feel better after feeling in pain for so long.I am honored to be part of such an amazing team, with amazing people that have one goal; to rid people of pain so that they are able to enjoy life!
