Our Team
  • Jose - Massage Therapist

Graduating from SOMA Institute, a prestigious school for Clinical Massage Therapy, Graduates have the passion and skills to care for patients with any type of injury.  After a year of intense courses and clinical training, L.M.T. Coming from working long hours at restaurants, hotels, and factories, Jose couldn’t abide the pains it would cause him.  He then decided to make a change and set a goal to permanently remove annoying pains.  Becoming a clinical massage therapist was his way of helping others to overcome their pain and injuries to continue a healthy lifestyle.

Every year for the past three years, Jose has done volunteer work for the Chicago Bank of America Marathon assisting the runners to relax and feel comfortable after the race.  After finishing his internship at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, Jose was able to apply his skills and knowledge to work by providing different types of massages such as; Deep Tissue Massage, Sport Massage, Swedish Massage, and Injury Recovery. You can see that L.M.T. Jose Avila has the skills and passion for patient care recovery and wellness.

L.M.T, Jose Avila, is the older of two brothers and has lived in California, Las Vegas and Chicago.  He knew his role as an older brother was to set a good example by guiding them to the correct path to a successful life.  In his high school years, Jose was involved in school activities and sports.  He was in the high school football team, wrestling team and did heavy lifting.  He also practiced MMA on the side.  Jose now enjoys spending time with his girlfriend whom he met through his cousin and loves bonding with his family.

  • Victoria - Office Manager

In 1998, my mom decided to risk all and come to the United States.  The importance of family is something she passed down to me.  We lived in California for 12 years where I started a family of my own.  My son’s name is Nikita now he’s 11, I want my son to follow in my footsteps and have a passion for cooking as I do.  My favorite times with him are when we cook together.  We are not only creating dinner, but we are creating memories and also something that he will use when he has a family of his own.  Living with a preteen has its challenges, especially because I am a single mother, but knowing that I am there, right next to him, as he is growing and becoming the man that he is going to be, I know it’s important to help shape him into that man, and build characteristics that will make him an asset to society.  I’ll continue to support his loves.  Such as saxophone and computers.

While my son was young, I was a personal chef.  I chose this career based on my love of cooking.  Although, I loved my job, the hours kept me away from my son more than I wanted.

I changed my work path to the medical field and am now taking classes at a local college working toward my HIT degree.  This new path led me to a chiropractic office that promotes health, natural living, our team shares the same family values as I do.  I’m so glad to be part of the LiveWell team!

  • Sharon - Practice Representative

I was born and raised in Lombard by my Mother, alongside my brother and sister. My Mom instilled in me to put in 100% into EVERYTHING that I do. With her help and direction, I joined the working world at age 15. It has always been fulfilling to know that I am part of something important. Something that helps me learn and grow constantly.

I also give 100% into my sports. I learned how to wakeboard and snowboard 7 years ago. I love driving the boat for our water sports... and pretty much anything with an engine. Two years ago, I upped the challenge and started taking pilot lessons.

I was married 3 years ago to my wonderful husband, Tommy. We have two animal children. One is a rescued 26-year-old Eclectus Parrot named Rhett. He plucked all of his tummy feathers due to stress. Because I love challenges, my husband and I decided to adopt him and help him recover. He has become a happy little ham now, and loves posing for pictures, loves giving kisses, and loves talking... ALL THE TIME. We also have a baby chinchilla named Riley. She was hand raised and is the sweetest, most cuddly ball of fur. Together, they complete our little family.

My faith is so very important to me. It drives me to maintain Bible principals in all that I do. Joy, Respect, Love for God and neighbor; This is a major reason why I love my job. I am able to help others feel better NATURALLY. It brings me joy to watch people feel better after feeling in pain for so long.I am honored to be part of such an amazing team, with amazing people that have one goal; to rid people of pain so that they are able to enjoy life!

  • Dr. Eric and Dr. Jessa

Dr. Eric and Dr. Jessa first met at Palmer College of Chiropractic as students.  They soon became best friends doing everything together; homework, studying, working out, and they even went on a Chiropractic mission trip to Bequia.  Together, they made a great team and Dr. Eric finished as Valedictorian of his class.

After graduating in June 2010, they both went their own ways to be Chiropractors.  Dr. Eric went to Hawaii and Dr. Jessa stayed in her home state of Iowa.  They kept in contact from time to time, and after five years the two met up at a Chiropractic seminar.  It was there that Dr. Eric (finally) confessed his love for Dr. Jessa.  It was also then and there that they decided to open a practice together.  A week later, Dr. Eric packed up and moved back to his home state of Illinois.  After everything was in place, Dr. Jessa moved from Iowa to Oak Brook to join him.  A week after opening their clinic, Dr. Eric proposed to Dr. Jessa and they married in March of 2017!

Today the couple lives in Oakbrook Terrace with their two dogs Bentley and Lambo.  They enjoy working out and keeping active hiking and riding bikes.

They always made a good team in the past and the present is no different.  This husband and wife duo strive to help people get well, live well, and stay well through the use of Chiropractic, Acupuncture, Massage, and Physical Therapy.
